You are so right it’s all about consumer power, that’s what truly governs the world, more so than any government. Thanks for that point I will be making a post about it on my forum.

You are right.."You don’t have to cross the world to find people in the need of help".. There is poverty almost everywhere. Even the rich is poor because they don't know how to spend their money. You can always make a difference!

It is, yes.

And perhaps the best example of it is with a more extreme example: Have you wonder that there is a very, VERY simple solution to solve the problem of drug trafficking? Yes, people just have to stop buying them.

Not easy to implement, though, but shows the power buying has. It's more powerful than politics, police enforcement and publicity together.

That's a powerful truth: "You don’t make politics voting, you make politics buying." Since our forum conversation this afternoon about the difficulty of tackling this topic, I've been thinking more about this - and thinking much along those lines. It's like the way we gnash our teeth about lead-painted toys coming out of China, and the terrible working conditions, near slavery, in too many offshore garment factories: why do these things happen? Because we, the relatively wealthy of the world, are greedy for more and more stuff at lower and lower prices. A donation to a good cause is a bandaid by comparison to the power of our purchasing decisions, really, isn't it?
